MENDOAN

Its so good


Snack from deep fried tempe coat with batter and spring onion. I like this snack eating with fresh chili or dipping in soya sauce sambal hmmm sounds so good.

Last night I chatted with my friend in north Norway, he've been in Indonesia many times and I asked him have you try this tempe before ? He said I can't remember all the food I've ate hehe..and after he saw my blog.. he was drooled over the screen. Sorry friend :D

Here is the recipe *I am sure many Indonesian can make this snack* this just my version how to made it.

MENDOAN
DEEP FRIED TEMPE WITH BATTER AND SPRING ONION

Ingredients :
1 blok tempe, slice thinly
oil to fry

batter :
100 grm all-purpose flour
25 grm tapioca starch
2 stalk spring onion, finelly chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
pinch of tumeric
pinch of baking powder
water

Directions :
Making the batter first
Mix well all batter ingredients into the bowl ( not too thick or thin batter )
Warm up the oil in wok or pan
Deep tempe in the batter
And fry it until golden brown
Serve warm with soya sauce sambal dipping or fresh chilies

looking at your tempe and your lovely recipe--absolutely making me watering never ending by now, since tempe at i am now could not get very easy, i gotta drive about 1 1/2 hrs down to the north.

hi mbak,salam kenal yah...
ngeliat tempe mendoannya jadi ngiler tambah2 sekarang saya lagi ngidam.payah nggak ??!!!!!
minggu lalu coba bikin tempe malah kagak jadi item semua,suhu ruangan kurang padahal udah nunggu2 mau bikin mendoan padahal sering bikin jadi terus loh,nah ini..... payah kan!!!!! eh malahan liat2 blognya mbak ada semua makanan bikin pulang jadinya....
